Paul Finebaum Renews Call To Suspend Baylor's Season; Says Stadium Built With "Blood Money"
An emotional Paul Finebaum appeared on College GameDay this morning to renew his call for the Big 12 to suspend Baylor’s season due to that university’s tone-deaf response to the ongoing sexual assault scandal within its football team.
The NCAA has already said it won’t sanction the Bears for repeatedly covering up sexual assaults by its football players. But Finebaum’s point is that the denial is institutional; from the players who protest for Art Briles’s return ( and later deny it after backlash) to the university’s richest donor, nobody is taking responsibility for the school’s lack of response to repeated reports of sexual assault by football players.
