Packers vs. Cowboys Sunday Night Football Week 4 Betting Predictions
The Green Bay Packers are coming off of arguably the biggest letdown spot of the season thus far. They still look like one of the best teams in the NFL, and they get a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in primetime.
The Packers have featured the best defense in the NFL early this season. They’re allowing a league-low 0.235 points per play through three weeks. Green Bay’s allowed 18 or fewer points in each of their three games.
The Packers have found elite defensive success against high-end offenses as well. They held the Detroit Lions to only 13 points, and they’ve scored 90 points in their other two games. The Washington Commanders also recorded only 18 points against Green Bay, with 15 of those points coming in the fourth quarter.

The Cowboys have been an average offense this season. They’re dealing with key injuries to CeeDee Lamb and Tyler Booker, who are two of their most important offensive players. I’d prefer Green Bay’s defense over a fully healthy Dallas offense, and they’re likely to struggle to find sustained success without a pair of their best players.
The Packers’ offense is coming off of a bad game, but they’ve performed well in 2025. They come with plenty of upside overall, and I’m not overly concerned with the struggles against a defense like the Cleveland Browns.
Cleveland boasts an elite defensive front that can slow down the best running backs in the NFL. They can also pressure quarterbacks at an elite rate, making the game uncomfortable throughout.
The Cowboys don’t have the defensive front to slow down this Green Bay offense. They should be able to rely on Josh Jacobs while continuing to find success off of play action. Essentially, this is an impossible offense to stop if you can’t stop the run, and that’s an area Dallas is expected to struggle with.
This is a situation where one team is overmatched for a variety of reasons. Green Bay may be viewed as slightly worse because of a letdown spot against Cleveland last week, but it’s important to remember that it was a game that they should’ve won.
The Packers were in range for a game-winning field goal that was blocked. That allowed Cleveland to kick their own field goal for the win. If that block doesn’t happen, we likely aren’t getting this line below a touchdown. That’s something we can take advantage of.
