No. 23 Kansas halts skid with blowout of Oklahoma State

Mandatory Credit: Denny Medley-Imagn Images Hunter Dickinson posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds as No. 23 Kansas soundly defeated visiting Oklahoma State 96-64 in Big 12 action on Saturday afternoon.
The victory snapped the Jayhawks' two-game losing streak, and the 96 points were their most since scoring 99 against UCF on Jan. 5.
Besides Dickinson, Kansas (18-9, 9-7 Big 12) was led by Zeke Mayo and David Coit with 15 points each. Dajuan Harris had one of his best all-around games this season with 14 points, five assists and six steals. Flory Bidunga added a season-high 16 rebounds.
Oklahoma State (13-14, 5-11) has lost eight straight games to Kansas and has not won in Lawrence since 2018, a seven-game road losing streak. The Cowboys are 0-8 on the road in Big 12 games this season.
The Cowboys were led by Bryce Thompson with 21 points, while Brandon Newman added 11 and Avery Marchelus chipped 10.
Kansas extended a 29-point halftime lead to 39 in the second half. The closest Oklahoma State got in the second half was 27.
Kansas shot 52.1 percent from the field for the game, while holding Oklahoma State to just 36.7 percent.
The Jayhawks had trouble shaking the Cowboys early, leading only 23-19 with 8:59 left in the first half. But Kansas responded with a 19-2 run that blew open a close game.
Harris had two nifty alley-oop passes during the run. KJ Adams was on the receiving end of both, throwing down thunderous dunks to the delight of the Allen Fieldhouse crowd. Kansas ended the half on a 29-4 run.
Dickinson led the Jayhawks with 14 points in the first half, while Harris, Mayo and Coit each had nine points on a trio of 3-pointers.
Thompson had 10 points in the first half for the Cowboys.
