Miami Dolphin Arrested, Tazed For Allegedly "Touching Females" At Club

Miami Dolphins defensive end Derrick Shelby was arrested early Saturday at a Florida nightclub for allegedly causing a disturbance. That's one way to spend a bye week. He resisted nonviolently, according to the police report, and his mugshot shows the police handled it their way.
Via the Sun Sentinel, Shelby was "causing a disturbance" and "touching females...without their permission" at Cyn Nightclub in Ft. Lauderdale:
After being told several times to leave the club, also known as Off the Hookah, at 111 SW 2nd Ave., Shelby refused, began blocking the exit and said, "What are you going to do," the report said.
Shelby appeared intoxicated and began photographing and taping the off-duty officer, Lauren Collins, who requested backup assistance. When other officers arrived, Shelby refused to release his arms so that he could be arrested and continued to struggle, according to Collins.
A Taser was fired three times at Shelby before he was taken into custody, Collins wrote in her report.
Police charged Shelby with trespassing after a warning and resisting arrest without violence. He pleaded not guilty.
The Dolphins announced today that they had suspended Shelby indefinitely.
