Climbers can no longer scale Uluru, the monolithic rock in central Australia once known as Ayers Rock, that is scared to the Anangu people.

The board of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park voted unanimously in 2017, to ban the climb because of the site’s spiritual significance, and for safety and environmental reasons.
