Inspired by our wonderment at a description of German speedskater Anni Friesinger that would be more fitting of a book with Fabio on the cover, we received countless suggestions on the most physically attractive athletes in Torino. (It can be difficult to tell, with all the goggles and everything, though, apparently, some of you think Friesinger is a post-op trannie or something.) Some kind souls have compiled the most comely folks at HotOlympians.com, including snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler, from the snow hamlet of Toledo, Ohio.
Other nominees included Norway's Kari Traa (who, it seems, isn't opposed to posing without pants), short track speedskater Allison Baver and, uh, a bunch of dudes.
We apologize for this obvious lean toward the prurient. We're watching women's hockey right now, and they're all wearing mouthpieces. Needed to cleanse our palate.

How many athletes are competing in Turin(o)? Hundreds and hundreds, right? A thousand, maybe? It should be a given that most of them have spectacular bodies (I'll try not to think about curling or Grandma Luge here). So how is it possible that there are only, like, a dozen athletes on hotolympians.com? Why aren't there more Tanith Belbins? Is there not a cuter-faced athlete who can match Anni Friesinger's glorious rack? What I'm saying is, I like me some hot Olympians, but shouldn't there be more of them?

I agree with the above about Anni Friesinger. Yes, her nose is somewhat, uh, Graf-ian, but the rest is sweet, sweet cake.
I'm personally looking forward to snowboard cross. Lindsay Jacobellis (from those Visa commercials) is the gold-medal favorite.
When Shaun White interviewed with Bob Costas after he won gold, he said he wanted to meet Sasha Cohen, and he hoped his gold medal would impress her. He even played it out: "Hey baby, how are- huh? What, this? Oh, that's just my gold medal. Yeah, I won it in Italy." I think he's permanently stoned. Rad.
I just can't believe Grandma Luge didn't make the list?
